About lowercase
A visual design studio in development, based in San Francisco.
The company
lowercase build, Inc. is a Delaware corporation developing a design practice for consumer brands, digital products and growing teams. Its planned services span visual identity, graphic design, digital design and campaign creative.
The company currently has no employees. Prospective client engagements are in discussion; client service delivery has not begun. Service delivery will begin only once the necessary work authorization is in place and the engagement terms have been agreed.
Who it is for
Consumer brands preparing a launch or refining their visual identity, packaging and marketing materials.
Digital product teams seeking consistent website, landing-page and campaign design.
Growing teams with recurring design needs that can be defined through a monthly scope of work.
Business model
The planned model is a monthly design retainer. Each client-specific statement of work will define services, deliverables, capacity, priorities, milestones, review rounds, fees and payment terms.
Requests will move from briefing and visual exploration through design development, client feedback and final handoff. Any collaboration with a client team or external specialist will be defined in the scope; no additional staff are represented as currently employed.
Founder’s background
Founded by Angela Ni, whose background spans brand, product and visual design. She studied Strategic Design & Management at Parsons and Integrated Product Design at the University of Pennsylvania.
Her experience at BeFreed includes product design, brand systems and campaign creative. This is the founder’s professional experience, not client work completed by lowercase.
Projects & pipeline
Potential engagements are being discussed. The studio is not presenting those discussions as signed contracts, completed projects or earned revenue.
Examples of anticipated needs include a consumer brand identity and landing page, or a digital product’s campaign visuals and launch assets. Final services and timelines depend on a signed scope and readiness to begin.
Goals
At launch: establish clear scopes, a consistent review process and a focused set of visual design services. Planned sources of enquiries include the founder’s portfolio, professional network and referrals.
Over time: develop ongoing client relationships and reusable brand systems, and expand capacity as demand, resources and project needs allow. These are objectives, not claims of existing staffing or revenue.
